Google is an amazing tool. It helps one find answers to so many questions, including not only where to recycle electronics, but home appliances as well. The first answer I found was Best Buy. Being the largest retailer of home electronics in the world, they have taken it upon themselves to be part of the solution to what happens to them after they are done being useful. They not only take products purchased from them, but any other retailer.
You can find what the Best Buy nearest you accept at this LINK. Scroll down to select your state. They also have a trade in program and other resources that are linked in the right side bar of that page. Staples also has a RECYCLE & TRADE-IN program. Both of these stores, take everything from MP3 players to major appliances for recycling free of charge. Check each site for details, or better yet, call ahead.
