How To Make a Shutter Jewelry Organizer
Use a rag and warm water to thoroughly clean your shutter, especially between the slats. In a well-ventilated area, spray paint both sides of the shutter with one coat of paint. Allow to dry fully.
Use sandpaper to scuff up the edges which creates a time-worn look. Sand just enough to expose the wood in a few places.
Hang dangling earrings over the slats, drape necklaces over the edges and use S-clips to hold bracelets. Lean the shutter up against a wall on the top of a dresser. You can even hang the shutter on a wall using stick-on wall hangers.
Enjoy your pretty new jewelry organizer!
